DocTalk: How to Tame Your Footage and Keep It Safe
Join us Sunday, 8/18, for the next DocTalk. When we began our latest original production at NW Documentary, we faced massive amounts of footage and HD file sizes. Add to that a decade of student project files on our hard drives and we had a serious storage problem. Losing any of it wasn’t an option.
Our go-to tech consultant Tom Parker upgraded NW Doc’s storage hardware and implemented a safe storage solution for the organization. During this month’s DocTalk, Tom will discuss the options available to keep your data safe. He’ll explain how to store multiple terabytes of video footage, and how to back it all up, along with how to manage your media, back-up, and archive on any budget.
DocTalk is a monthly series of presentations by doc filmmakers, for doc filmmakers. The series is focused on bringing documentary storytellers together to share lessons learned, get feedback, and build a network of support. DocTalk is held on the third Sunday of every month, from 3-5pm, in the NW Documentary Media Center at 115 SW Ash Street, Suite 420.
