Dan Mankin, Interim Executive Director
Dan is working as the Interim Executive Director through the auspices of the Non Profits Association of Oregon that provides assistance to non profits in organizational transitions. He was previously the Executive Director of the Dance Palace in Point Reyes CA from 2009 to 2014. Other assignments include: Performing Arts Director for the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, Executive Director for the historic Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts in Longview, Washington. In the San Francisco Bay Area he worked as Managing and Artistic Director of Make A Circus and Vaudeville Nouveau and Entertainment Director and Minister of Fun for the Harvest Festival. Dan’s performing experience includes shows as a actor, juggler and circus performer at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Lincoln Center, Make A Circus and The Magic Theatre and as co-producer of the San Francisco New Vaudeville Festival. Dan and his wife Maria own Begin Pilates and Yoga at NE Fremont & 24th where Dan teaches a class called “Yoga for the Inflexible Guy”.
Chelsea Smith, Operations Manager
Chelsea helps run all aspects of NW Documentary; managing productions, building community partnerships, coordinating workshops and supporting the daily operational functions. She has a background in educational programming and volunteer management for international non-profits. She has a B.A. in Urban Studies from the University of Minnesota, studied Multimedia and Video Production at PCC and has produced her own music and short films.
