Kia Anne Geraths is a west-coast based film director, cinematographer, and council member at NW Documentary in Portland, Oregon.
She is best known for her work as the Director/Co-Writer of the film I Love Your Cosplay which starred Marza Warsinske and Jennifer Blanc-Biehn. Filmed over the course of 4-days at Emerald City Comic Con it went on to premiere at POW Film Fest and was featured in We Are Moving Stories.
Kia is also know for her cinematography work with films like Sista in the Brotherhood which went on to win numerous awards such as Best Short Film at the Portland International Film Festival and Best in Show at the Chicago Feminist Film Festival.
With a background in non-fiction storytelling her short documentary, The Blacksmith, aired on OPB’s Oregon Lens which showcases outstanding work by Northwest independent filmmakers.
She was educated at the Art Institutes, graduating with a BFA in Digital Film and Video. She spends her spare time playing pinball and traveling to the most random roadside attractions she can find.
