Workshop for high school-aged students interested in learning how to create podcasts.
Students will help to create a podcast series interviewing Portland media makers. Students will prepare, record, interview, and edit their own episode of the show in collaboration with NW Documentary and the Parkrose Storytelling Project.
The workshop is free and breakfast will be provided. Limited space available.
Workshop Schedule
Week 1 – Pre Production – Students will learn the basics of setting up to record podcasts, will learn who they will be interviewing and prepare for their interviewing the next week.
Week 2 – Interviews – Students will record interviews providing everyone a chance to practice being the host and the one running the equipment.
Week 3 – Editing – Students will edit their interviews and create a polished episode for the podcast.
Lead Instructor
Andru Morgan (He/Him) is a filmmaker and podcast producer with over 18 years of broadcast radio and podcast experience. He currently owns and operates a podcast production company that produces and consults for a multitude of podcasts with clients ranging from major universities and corporations to everyday people.
He loves comic books, sports, and documentaries!
