Homegrown DocFest to feature local folk singer Laura Gibson

It’s confirmed. Homegrown DocFest on August 28th will now include one of our favorite local artists, Laura Gibson. I think we’re all blushing over at NW Doc. Don’t miss the chance to catch a batch of documentary premieres, the delicious food and drink of the Mission Theater, and the enchanting vocals and fingerpicking of Laura Gibson.

“She makes a person want to close their eyes and just bask in a star-filled night” —daytrotter.com

“One of the year’s most breathtaking albums. Beasts of Seasons is nothing short of a masterpiece, both for its flawless and often haunting execution and for its inspired statements on the human experience.” —NPR

“Gibson treats syllables with the same patience and loving precision a mosaic maker might put into cutting and arranging his/her tiles…rewards repeat listens” —Pitchfork

I love NW Doc but I missed Laura G. I wonder if she is coming back next year. Max
