Final Cut Pro User Meeting

NW Documentary is excited to be teaming up with the Portland Final Cut Pro User Group! New is 2011, the group will be holding meetings at NWDoc headquarters. The first meeting is this Thursday, Feb. 10 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Admission is $5 (free for FCP User Group Members.)

Portland Final Cut Pro User Group is dedicated to the education and development of its members through the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experience. They focus not only upon the Final Cut Pro Software, but also on video animation, compositing and authoring as well as hardware for the professional video, broadcast and event videographer. All of these additional interests intersect with the use of Final Cut Pro and will enhance your ability to create high quality projects.

Thursday’s meeting will focus on the exciting topic of DSLR cameras. NW Documentary instructor John Waller of Uncage the Soul Productions will provide a glimpse into his world of DSLR video production. John has taken his camera and crew to some of the harshest environments on the planet and come back with some of the most stunning footage you’ve seen. John has embraced DSLR filmmaking and has emerged as one of the busiest practitioners in our city. John will take the group through a typical production and highlight the components of taking an idea from concept to screen while concentrating for us on all of the elements that are unique or important to DSLR production and post production workflows.
