We’re so excited to officially announce the launch of the NW Documentary Collaboration Library!
NW Documentary is about community first and foremost. While a lot of doc filmmakers work alone, we know how important it is to have help and support when you need it: from an extra pair of hands to watch your sound levels on an interview to a creative mind to get you unstuck on a work in progress.
The Collaboration Library is a tool to connect folks who have skills to share with projects and productions that need them—for free!
Many stories never reach audiences because of limited resources. The Collaboration Library is meant to help that happen less often.
So how does it work?
It’s pretty simple—& pretty powerful!
Folks donate time to help each other, creating a resource pool of services and consultation that is freely accessible to local independent filmmakers and storytellers.
We hope that the library of donations will keep growing, so if you don’t see what you need, keep checking back. And feel free to shoot us an email letting us know what you’re looking for so we can see if we can find help for you.
*You don’t have to be a professional to help out! Folks can use all kinds of help with their projects, and we’ll make it clear what your level of skill is. You can donate your time as a way to build your skills, or a way to share your expertise!
This project is only possible because of the generosity of the community in sharing your time and skills. We are uplifted by, and grateful to, all our donors, and so excited to connect them with folks who can use their help.
